Introducing the community
The Goalkeepers South Africa community is a collective of collaborative and diverse changemakers. Members include both emerging and well-known leaders who are committed to the achievement of the SDGs.
SDG 1: Mmabatho Maboya
Mmabatho drives initiatives that provide access to opportunities to lift people out of poverty and eliminate poverty.
SDG 3: Tlaleng Mofokeng
Tlaleng is a medical doctor and special rapporteur to the United Nations for SDG 3. She is also a member of global Goalkeepers Advisory Group.
SDG 3: Nneka Mobisson
Nneka champions SDG 3 by providing AI-enabled health coaching to individuals living with or at risk for chronic conditions.
SDG 3: Jinal Bhiman
Jinal is a Scientist at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases, a virologist by training, she champions SDG 3, Good health and well-being.
SDG 3: Heinrich Volmink
Heinrich is a medical doctor and champions global health and SDG 3 (Good health and well-being) through his work as a medical practitioner, lecturer and innovator.
SDG 4: Thulile Khanyile
Thulile is a scientist and social entrepreneur who leverages her science background to build ecosystems that integrate science into society, empowering communities to develop solutions.
SDG 4: Ssanyu Sematimba
Ssanyu champions SDG 4, Quality Education, through her teaching at the African Leadership Academy Johannesburg as Head of the Creative Arts Department.
SDG 4: Sazi Nzama
Sazi is a medical doctor and works towards achieving SDG 4 by ensuring children's health needs are met so they can focus on quality education.
SDG 4: Nicolette Mashile
Nicolette advocates for financial literacy and freedom, equipping individuals from a young age with essential money management skills
SDG 4: Mike Skosana
Mike's passion for teaching children through digital channels ensures they obtain technology skills and competencies towards SDG 4, Quality Education.

Emmanuel, an entrepreneur at heart, advocates for access to education (SDG 4) and economic empowerment (SDG 1), to drive positive change in underprivileged communities.

Anne is a passionate science communicator and podcaster, advocating for SDG 4, Quality Education. Through her work, she amplifies African voices in STEM.
SDG 5: Tsepiso Makwetla
Tsepiso is a seasoned broadcaster and advocates for awareness of women's health challenges, particularly those related to childbirth.
SDG 8: Maxine Hlaba
Maxine is passionate about reducing the cost of cross-border money transfers in the SADC region contributing to SDG 8, and economic growth.
SDG 14: Thulani Makhalanyane
Thulani is a microbiome scientist and champions SDG 14 through his dedicated research efforts.
SDG 16: Willem Fourie
Willem is passionate about the potential of technology to strengthen policymaking in South Africa to ultimately improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable.
SDG 17: Kgomotso Mashigo
Information designer Kgomotso is a natural collaborator, believing that SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals, is key in achieving the other SDGs.
